This was a very impressive storm. It was part of a bow echo squall line that moved in from the northwest.
Very ominous outflow clouds preceeded the storm, along with the most pronounced gust front I've ever experienced.
Our power went out before the rain even started as 40 - 50 MPH gusts brought down tree limbs. Heavy rain and intense
lightning followed. The storm was moving fast and the heavy rain didn't last long.
