I didn't even know there were going to be any storms today until I heard a crash of thunder right outside the window. A couple a storms blew up just east of downtown Nashville and screamed east at 40 MPH. We decided to get out and have some fun. We tried to get south of the second storm before it moved past, but we ended up driving straight through it as it raced east. We actually followed the channel 2 storm tracker van until he pansied out and headed north. We continued south and got some nice dime-sized hail as we punched throught the core of the storm. Once we got south of the storm, it began right turning and took a more southeasterly course. We tried to stay behind it, but it wasn't long before it left us behind. We were in good position for a while if the storm had decided to put down a tornado, but fortunately it didn't.
There was another wave of severe weather earlier this morning. A confirmed F3 cut a 10 mile path just south of Murfreesburo. We tried to check out the damage down there, but the police were everywhere, so we never got a chance to see much.
